Description

This event, of great academic and social relevance, is organized by CEAD Francisco Suárez in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of Universidade Lusófona, and also counts on the partnership of the OCEAN network and the Lisbon Regional Council of the Portuguese Bar Association. The Congress aims to establish itself as a privileged space for reflection, debate, and knowledge sharing on the issue of domestic violence, in light of contemporary challenges and the application of the Istanbul Convention. It will bring together national and international experts in the fields of law, criminology, psychology, and public policy, promoting a multidisciplinary approach to a phenomenon with significant social impact. Over the course of two days, central themes will be discussed, such as violence prevention, victim protection, the effectiveness of existing legal instruments, and the role of institutions in promoting a fairer and safer society.
