VET Experience: A Week in the World of Veterinary Medicine

The course provides the basic tools for understanding what it means to own a pet today, how pets interact with humans, and the key aspects of their care, including hygiene, diet and vaccination, amongst others. The course will cover various species considered to be pets, from dogs and cats to exotic animals.

Description

This is intended to be a highly practical course in which students will observe and examine various structures under a microscope during a teaching session held in the clinical analysis laboratory. Students will also have the opportunity to visit an equestrian centre specialising in equine physiotherapy, where they will be able to try their hand at riding horses and ponies, for those participants who wish to do so.
