SPPA, in collaboration with Universidade Lusófona (COFAC-ULHT), organizes the meeting “Zoo and Wildlife Pathology: From Diagnosis to Conservation” (January 17–18, 2026, Lisbon). The event brings together national and international experts in wildlife pathology and medicine, with lectures, case discussions, and a technical visit to the Zoo, promoting training and a One Health approach.

The conference will feature themed presentations, discussions of clinical-pathological cases, and a technical visit to the Lisbon Zoo, covering topics such as diagnosis, biosafety, emerging diseases, and the role of pathology in conservation and public health (One Health). One of the main objectives of holding this event at the University is to encourage the participation of veterinary medicine students and other students interested in the topic, providing them with direct contact with leading researchers and opportunities for practical and interdisciplinary learning.
